Hi Glynis. “Monkey mind” is a term that has been used to describe the restless mind. Stephen Cope (author, psychotherapist, and Kripalu Yoga Ambassador) also calls it a “puppy mind”. Most people can relate to that – it jumps around from thought to thought and goes off in different directions! Meditation helps us to first witness this busy-ness of the mind, then offers tools to help “tie the puppy to the post”…or reign it in so to speak. Come to my class and you’ll find out!
